Abstract

This study aims to understand the concept of immigration from the point of view of the act of immigrating in order to explore the hidden causes of the decision and act of immigrating in the depths of the Iranian mind. Based on an interpretive approach, this study considered the act of immigrating as the result of the active engagement of meaning-making subjects with the conditions leading to the decision and act of immigrating, and attempted to analyse the concept of "immigration" as it is in the minds of activists with a phenomenological approach. The results show that immigrating is constructed in the minds of activists as a social value, apart from being a practical action and an objective reality that is done for a variety of individual, economic, social, political and cultural reasons. This study aims to understand the concept of immigration from the point of view of the act of immigrating in order to explore the hidden causes of the decision and act of immigrating in the depths of the Iranian mind.
