Abstract

This study sought to examine the political participation of women (modern - traditional) in the presidential election (tenth and eleventh) is. In this context, the aim of this research is applied and the method of collecting information is descriptive and correlational. The data in both library and field. The population of all women over 18 years of Rasht, which is based on the 1390 census, over 317 sample using a sample size of 384 was calculated in order to increase the accuracy of the study, the sample size was calculated to 510 people, the promotion and . Assessment and measurement tool, a questionnaire was developed by using the teachers' and social scientists, the design of the questionnaire. Therefore, the questionnaire used in the study of reliability were paramount requirements. It is also used to assess the reliability of the tests used Cronbach's alpha levels are also provided to the questionnaire was higher than 7.0, which means it is suitable reliable research tool. However, after collecting data and information transfer to computer software coding and 19 SPSS, data was analyzed. To test the hypothesis, the chi-square test, correlation and mean difference (t) is used. The results show that the political participation of women between the variables (modern - traditional) and variables of the presidency of the tenth and eleventh, the Consultative Group to adopt and care for a person's vote wife relationship and the mean difference is significant.
